Amo la Vita ODV is a Milan-based nonprofit supporting people with cancer and their families before, during and after treatment. It grew from the experience of the Associazione Oncologica Milanese, founded in 1980, and brings together healthcare professionals, care workers and trained volunteers. Its approach places each person at the center, recognizing that care involves listening, human connection and practical support as well as medical treatment.
The association offers personal support services, including emotional listening and assistance for people facing illness. Its activities include accompanying patients, welcoming them in hospital departments, providing nutritional kits and organizing workshops. Amo la Vita ODV also runs CAF services and develops projects for patients and families. Through patient and volunteer stories, it shares experiences and raises awareness of its work.
