About Amora Brava
Amora Brava is a family-owned wine and hospitality project created by Susana Ferreira de Melo Abreu and led by renowned Portuguese winemaker Carlos Silva, known for his expertise in the Dão region. The project brings together historic brands, authentic products and distinctive experiences, with a long-term vision shaped by a deep connection to local landscapes and traditions.
Its wines are central to the brand. Carlos Silva describes Psique as his first family wine, while Índio Rei reflects the authentic grape varieties of the Dão and its native forest. Amora Brava also produces its own distinctive wines, alongside Índio Rei extra-virgin olive oil, made artisanally in limited quantities.
The brand’s two properties are Quinta de São José in the Vinhos Verdes region and Quinta das Rosas in the Dão, where Amora Brava began. Visitors can enjoy evolving wine-tourism experiences, and the estates are available for events. In Viseu, the online and physical shop offers Amora Brava wines, selected design and lifestyle brands, and gifts in a historic former hospital pharmacy.
