About Ampleforth Abbey
Ampleforth Abbey, a renowned brand, encompasses the life and works of the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of St Laurence. Guided by the Rule of St Benedict and the Constitutions of the English Benedictine Congregation, they adhere to Canon and Civil Law. Established as a registered charity, the Ampleforth Abbey Trust oversees a wide range of endeavors. These include the formation and ministry of Benedictine monks, the care and maintenance of the monastic community and its properties, education, guest hospitality, and parish work within the Roman Catholic Church dioceses. The Trust board, which comprises both lay and monastic trustees, oversees essential areas such as safeguarding, strategy, finance, and estate management.
With a commitment to transparency and accountability, the trustees convene bi-monthly to ensure the brand's effective operation.
