The Austrian Medical Students' Association (AMSA) is a nonprofit and independent initiative founded by medical students in Austria. Their mission is to expand the horizons of their members through initiatives and a strong network, supporting their development into responsible individuals in both personal and professional aspects. Their goal is to improve the health and well-being of society.

The AMSA offers various services and products, including advocacy, projects, international standing committees, position papers, statements, press activities, and exchanges such as medical internship exchange, research exchange, and public health exchange. They also provide support to incoming students. The AMSA is governed by a board consisting of a president, vice presidents for finance, members, external affairs, international affairs, exchange affairs, and projects.

They hold general assemblies twice a year to make important decisions, including electing board members and approving regulations. The AMSA is part of the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA), which enables international exchanges and facilitates communication and networking among medical student associations worldwide. With local committees in Graz, Innsbruck, Krems, Linz, Salzburg, and Vienna, the AMSA promotes open-mindedness, respect, social responsibility, sustainability, diversity, internationality, and participation
