Amstelgeuzen

De Amstelgeuzen is a small community rowing and canoeing association based in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, the Netherlands. Located at the village harbour behind the Plus supermarket, the club welcomes people interested in getting out on the water and invites newcomers to arrange a trial rowing session. Its activities include rowing, canoeing, group outings and regional rowing events, as well as social gatherings for members.

The association currently uses a temporary site with a floating dock and boat racks. It is working towards a permanent home on the south side of the A9 viaduct, where plans include a harbour, a boatshed and a modest clubhouse with space for members to enjoy coffee after rowing. The proposed location would also make it possible to expand canoe activities, with routes towards Abcoude, Weesp and Vinkeveen nearby. The club shares news, event information and details about its relocation plans, and invites supporters to contribute to the new clubhouse project. Prospective members and visitors can contact the association by email or phone.
