Amway River Bank Run

The Amway River Bank Run is an annual road-running event held in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Established in 1978, it is recognized as the country’s largest 25K road race and has hosted the USA 25 km Open Championships since 1995. The event brings together competitive athletes, recreational runners, walkers, families, and community groups, with more than 10,000 participants expected for its 2027 edition.

Participants can choose the 25K run, 25K wheelchair or handcycle divisions, 10K run, 5K run, or 5K Community Walk. The program also includes the Amway Junior event, team competitions, a virtual race, and opportunities for elite and invited athletes. Beyond racing, the organization supports nonprofit fundraising through its charity partner program and welcomes volunteers, sponsors, expo vendors, and course entertainment groups. It also provides race information, results and photos, live tracking, training schedules and tips, and event-day guidance on transportation, gear check, and medical policies. The 2027 event is scheduled for Saturday, May 8, with Amway River Bank Run presented by Fifth Third Bank and Corewell Health as its official health partner.
