"Anacalypsis" is the Greek word for Discovery. Our vision is a world in which neurodegenerative diseases are controllable, treatable, and curable. In most neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's Disease, there are no disease-modifying therapies that can disrupt the progression of the disease. This is compounded by the fact that by the time diagnosis is made, significant irreversible neurodegeneration has already occurred. Parkinson’s disease is the fastest growing neurological disease, currently affecting approximately 10 million people globally. Similar to our approach for Parkinson's Disease, we are working on solving the unique challenges faced by people suffering from neurodegeneration by concurrently developing gene-based therapeutics and biomarkers. Our approach to therapeutic development is the structure-based design of compounds that disrupt specific protein interactions and signaling pathways that are linked to neurodegeneration.

About Anacalypsis Therapeutics
Anacalypsis Therapeutics is a brand that combines neuroscience and innovation to tackle the unique challenges faced by individuals with neurodegenerative diseases. Founded in 2019 by Hardy J. Rideout, PhD, and Alexia V. Polissidis, PhD, Anacalypsis Therapeutics is dedicated to bridging the gap between research and clinical practice.
Their focus lies in developing gene-based therapeutics and biomarkers simultaneously, with the aim of reversing neurodegeneration and transforming patients' lives. Through their extensive expertise in preclinical in vitro and in vivo neurodegeneration research, they have achieved remarkable milestones, including the discovery of the efficacy of their lead therapeutic, AT001, in preclinical models.
In addition, Anacalypsis Therapeutics has developed a cutting-edge multiplex biomarker assay called PDplex, which represents a state-of-the-art prototype. They have received prestigious grants, such as the biomarkers grant from the Michael J Fox Foundation (MJFF), to support their clinical trials.
