Anacortes Community Boating

Anacortes Community Boating is a nonprofit organization serving Anacortes and nearby communities, bringing people of all ages together to enjoy small boating and learn new skills on the water. Formerly known as the Anacortes Waterfront Alliance, it offers programs and access to boating on Fidalgo Bay and from Seafarers Memorial Park.

Its offerings include youth and adult sailing instruction, rowing classes, youth sailing and rowing teams, and hourly rentals of small sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboards. Sailing lessons are offered in partnership with the Anacortes Parks & Recreation Department, and instructors are US Sailing certified. Young sailors can join middle and high school racing teams without prior sailing or racing experience, while rowing programs give juniors and adults opportunities to row and compete in shells.

The organization also provides storage options for small boats and manages two dinghy docks, with discounts available to members. Through classes, rentals, teams, and community boating events, Anacortes Community Boating helps participants build confidence, enjoy time outdoors, and connect through shared experiences on the water.
