Ancient Trance Festival | Taucha is a brand dedicated to preserving the cultural diversity and handmade musical traditions of the world. With a focus on the jaw harp, one of the oldest musical instruments, the festival brings together various traditional sounds and influences from ethnic roots to create modern ecstatic world music. The team behind the festival shares a common vision of creating a space for inner growth and connection through a culture of appreciation, mindfulness, respect, compassion, empathy, and love.

Using a sociocratic circle culture, decisions are made in consensus, giving everyone a voice in shaping the festival. The festival is organized by volunteers, many of whom are members of the Maultrommel e. V, a non-profit organization based in Taucha, with Leipzig as the organizing hub.
