About ANCON Panamá
ANCON Panamá is a national organization dedicated to the conservation of Panama's biodiversity and natural resources. They are committed to promoting sustainable development and raising awareness about the importance of environmental education. ANCON focuses on initiatives such as the Darién Sustainable Project, which aims to establish a framework for biodiversity-friendly livestock production in the Darién region of Panama.
They also manage the Punta Patiño Private Nature Reserve, a 30,000-hectare protected area that acts as a natural lung for the country, absorbing over 182,000 tons of CO2. Additionally, ANCON is actively involved in recycling efforts through their Recycle for Your Future program.
