Andaluces Villena

Comparsa Andaluces de Villena is a festive association founded in 1923, rooted in the traditions and community life of Villena. Since its first year, the comparsa has presented Contrabando, a theatrical event depicting the covert passage of goods past customs. The performance has continued through changing periods of popularity and even suspension, and remains an important part of the group’s heritage.

The organization brings members together through a range of squads, clubs, dance groups and collectives, including Almonteñas, Goyescas, Serranas de Ronda, Grupo de Baile Contrabando and Colectivo la Navaja. It also recognizes roles such as presidents, madrinas and cabos, and maintains a social headquarters for its members.
