Andreas Maier

Andreas Maier is a Berlin-based artist whose work celebrates the beauty of nature through detailed depictions of birds, fish, insects and flowers. After studying veterinary medicine, he turned his attention to zoology and its visual richness, developing a distinctive style that combines precise natural motifs with luminous surfaces and traditional gold-leaf techniques. His work brings together craftsmanship and contemporary design, creating pieces intended to enrich living spaces with a sense of elegance and connection to nature.

Maier’s offerings include large wall artworks, decorative screens, sculptures, occasional tables, trays and glass coasters. His sculptural projects include Buddy Bears, hand-painted with marine or koi motifs and finished with layered paint and, in some cases, gold leaf. These works unite vivid imagery with reflective materials and can also carry themes of friendship, tolerance, mindfulness and peaceful coexistence.

His art has been presented in exhibitions in Berlin, Bern, Nidau/Biel and Duisburg, and his large-format works have been featured in prestigious interiors, including suites at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie.
