Andros Routes is a volunteer-led initiative dedicated to sharing the natural and cultural heritage of Andros, a Greek island known for its green valleys, rivers, beaches and historic pathways. The group aims to support sustainable tourism by restoring, signposting and maintaining the island’s network of walking routes. Since 2012, volunteers have restored and marked more than 240 kilometres of paths, including the Andros Route, a continuous 100-kilometre trail crossing the island.

In 2015, the route was certified as a Leading Quality Trail – Best of Europe by the European Hiking Federation, making Andros the first island in Europe to receive this recognition. Through its website, Andros Routes helps visitors plan walks with route information, a map and guidance, as well as details about day hikes and the long-distance trail. It also offers information about the project, its research, philosophy and maintenance work, alongside ways to support the initiative.
