ANESF

The Association Nationale des Étudiant·e·s Sages-Femmes (ANESF) is a French national association representing midwifery students. It advocates for students’ interests throughout their studies, with a focus on their status, rights, well-being, and quality of life. The association also addresses the structure and supervision of midwifery education, and contributes to guidance for students entering health studies through its links with health-study tutoring groups.

ANESF brings together local student associations, elected representatives, and tutoring organizations across training institutions. It supports collective projects and provides training on association work and topics including culture and international relations. Its work also extends to the midwifery profession, promoting recognition of midwives’ skills and expertise, improved professional status, and research in midwifery.

The association engages in public health, particularly women’s health, as well as environmental health, relationships and sexuality, and addiction prevention. Through its website, ANESF shares advocacy materials, student well-being resources, information about study and career pathways, international placement opportunities, and updates on events and initiatives.
