About Anfen
ANFEN, short for Adolescent Non Formal Education Network, is a dynamic organization established in 2000 through the collaboration of four NGOs endorsed by UNICEF. Dedicated to providing non-formal education to vulnerable adolescents in Mauritius and Rodrigues, ANFEN comprises 17 member NGOs. Emphasizing interactive learning, ANFEN focuses on enhancing literacy and numeracy skills through innovative teaching methods.
The network prioritizes continuous training for educators, ensuring the quality of programs tailored to adolescents outside the traditional schooling system. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, ANFEN aims to reintegrate marginalized youth into society and empower them with essential life skills. Upholding values such as respect, love, and teamwork, ANFEN envisions nurturing responsible citizens and advocates for equitable access to education.
