About COLOSSUS
COLOSSUS is an EU-funded Horizon 2020 research project focused on improving care for people with microsatellite-stable, RAS-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer (MSS RAS mt mCRC). Recognising the need for better ways to understand and treat this specific cancer type, the project aims to develop more effective patient classification methods and support a personalised medicine approach. Its work brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of 13 partners across seven countries, including universities, research institutes, cancer organisations and companies.
The collaboration combines expertise in cancer research, clinical studies, data analysis and related fields to advance systems-based patient stratification and treatment solutions. COLOSSUS shares its research through project publications, news, educational resources and project materials, and provides information about its translational study and sample coding and tracking. The project received funding through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement 754923.
Its planned duration was 60 months, beginning on 1 January 2018
