Anglers Alliance Tasmania

Anglers Alliance Tasmania Inc. (AAT) serves as the representative body for freshwater anglers across Tasmania, advocating for their interests and ensuring sustainable fishing practices. Recognized by the government, AAT is backed by financial assistance from the Inland Fisheries Service, allowing it to effectively manage a diverse constitution of member organizations, including angling clubs from the southern, northern, and northwestern regions of Tasmania.

Over the past 11 years, AAT has successfully secured over $900,000 for projects enhancing angler access to approximately 350 kilometers of prime fishing waters. Their initiatives also include extensive lake signage and major upgrades to various boating facilities across the region. AAT operates a network of 11 strategically placed webcams at key fishing locations, ensuring anglers can monitor conditions in real-time. Committed to fostering community involvement, AAT encourages feedback and suggestions from both local and visiting anglers to enhance the Tasmanian fishing experience. Through their efforts, AAT continues to promote responsible angling and preserve the natural resources that define Tasmania's rich fishing heritage.
