Angstforeningen Norge

Angstforeningen (the Anxiety Association) is a nationwide Norwegian organization supporting people affected by anxiety and their relatives. Building on more than 37 years of work by Stiftelsen Angstringen Norge, it continues that legacy under a new name and profile; Angstringen remains in use as a transitional brand name. Its central aim is to help people whose anxiety affects everyday life, including work, family, education, and overall quality of life.

The association offers access to the Angsttelefonen, where callers can speak with people who draw on personal experience, as well as information and guidance for those living with anxiety. Through local groups across much of Norway, it supports peer groups and helps people find available places nearby. Angstforeningen also shares personal stories, organizes events, and provides opportunities for relatives, volunteers, and members to get involved.

Beyond direct support, the organization promotes user participation and works to raise awareness of anxiety and mental health in society. Membership and volunteering help sustain its local groups, information work, and support services.
