Angstforeningen Norge

Angstforeningen (the Anxiety Association), formerly Angstringen Norge, is a nationwide Norwegian association focused on people whose anxiety affects daily life, work, family, studies, or quality of life, as well as their relatives. It builds on more than 37 years of work by the Angstringen Norge foundation and continues to support people through shared experience, information, and community. The association has several local groups across Norway, where members can join ongoing peer groups and connect with others facing similar challenges.

Its Angsttelefonen offers callers an opportunity to speak with someone who has personal experience, without any obligation beyond having a conversation. Angstforeningen also provides guidance and resources, shares personal stories, and promotes user participation and involvement in society. Members and volunteers help sustain local activities and expand the association’s reach; no specialist qualifications are required to volunteer.

Through events, public commentary, and its societal policy work, the organization advocates for greater awareness of anxiety and accessible support. Its services and activities also recognize the needs of family members and other supporters
