ANILIA is a nonprofit association based in Alicante, Spain, supporting people with borderline intellectual functioning and their families. Founded in December 1992 by a group of families, it was created to develop resources and services that promote social and employment inclusion. The association provides support in areas including employment, education, autonomy and independent living, psychosocial care, legal guidance, family support, physical and sports activities, inclusion and awareness, and leisure.
Its programs include occupational activities, training, employment support, and initiatives focused on independent living. ANILIA also operates the Alicantino Poda Special Employment Centre and provides information for businesses about alternative measures that can support inclusive employment. Individuals and companies can contribute through one-time or monthly donations, in-kind donations, volunteering, and collaboration.
The association also plans to offer original handmade items through its online shop. Through its services and community partnerships, ANILIA works to expand opportunities, promote participation, and foster mutual support for people with borderline intellectual functioning in Alicante
