Animali alla riscossa L'Aquila

Animali Alla Riscossa ODV is a volunteer-led animal welfare association founded in 2000 and based in the province of L’Aquila, Italy. It works to protect animals and improve their wellbeing, with a strong focus on combating straying in L’Aquila and across Abruzzo. The association collaborates with local administrations and is a founding member of C.A.V.A.A., a regional network that promotes coordinated action against animal abandonment and straying. Its volunteers respond to reports, engage with municipalities, provide care including treatment, food and safe shelter, and seek homes for dogs, cats and other animals in need.

The organization encourages residents to report roaming dogs and register feline colonies, providing forms to support these efforts. People can contribute by volunteering, becoming members, sharing information, donating directly or through PayPal, and choosing the association for their five-per-thousand tax donation. Fundraising initiatives include an annual calendar featuring animals in its care who are looking for homes. Through its work, Animali Alla Riscossa promotes community involvement, transparency and lasting improvements in animal protection.
