Animal Law Reform South Africa (ALRSA) is a non-profit company and registered non-profit organization (NPO) that was established in 2014 by a group of lawyers passionate about animal protection. Led by attorney Amy P. Wilson and Professors David Bilchitz, Bonita Meyersfeld, and Melanie Murcott, ALRSA utilizes the law to address intersectional issues and ensure justice for all. Their main pillars consist of Animal Flourishing, Social Justice, and Law.

ALRSA focuses on key areas such as Legislative and Policy Reform, Litigation and Legal Services, and Education and Research. They aim to connect issues related to the law, animal flourishing, and social justice, while strengthening legislation and policy relating to animal, human, and environmental protection. ALRSA also provides access to legal services, advice, and assistance to relevant groups and organizations.
