Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing and providing care for stray and found dogs on Edisto Island and neighboring communities in Colleton and Charleston County. Our mission is to offer shelter, food, veterinary care, and most importantly, love to these dogs until they are healthy and socialized enough to be adopted. As the only no-kill rescue on Edisto Island, we prioritize the well-being of our rescues.

All dogs receive basic veterinary care, including vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. However, some may require additional healthcare such as medications, heartworm treatment, or even surgery. Our dedicated team of volunteers treats each dog as their own, walking, feeding, playing, and training them daily.

We ensure that their spacious kennels are comfortable and provide opportunities for play dates and vet appointments. If you're looking to adopt a furry companion, we have a variety of dogs patiently waiting for their forever homes. By adopting from Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue, you're not only adding a loving pet to your family, but also supporting our mission of saving and caring for these deserving animals.
