Animals & Kids, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit equine sanctuary based in Fort Myers, Florida, serving families across Southwest Florida. The organization builds meaningful connections between horses and children to support healing, confidence, emotional well-being, and life skills. Its trauma-informed and Parelli-informed programs welcome children and families with a range of needs, including youth in crisis.

Offerings include equine-assisted learning, individual and group sessions, family enrichment, peer mentoring, and youth development initiatives such as Work-to-Ride and Kids Club. Children can also explore horse care and science through Jr. Equine Vet Explorers, or combine creative activities with time around horses in art and music classes. Seasonal camps feature riding, grooming, crafts, games, and education. Community services include mobile outreach, school visits, family storytime, and pony rides.

Animals & Kids also welcomes families, schools, social service organizations, volunteers, sponsors, and grant partners. Donations, sponsorships, and wish-list purchases help support horse care and youth programs. Visits and enrollment are arranged by appointment at the Fort Myers location.
