Anja van Heeswijk Uitvaartzorg

Anja van Heeswijk Uitvaartzorg is an independent funeral care service led by funeral director Anja van Heeswijk, based in Leerdam and serving the surrounding area, including Asperen, Heukelum and Vijfheerenlanden. Anja guides families through the practical decisions and arrangements that follow a death, helping them create a personal, fitting farewell in a calm and trusting atmosphere. She takes time to listen, respects different beliefs and traditions, and works according to each family’s wishes—whether they want to take an active role or leave more of the arrangements in her hands.

Services include reporting a death, repatriation, care and viewing of the deceased, funeral announcements, planning the funeral day, and aftercare. Anja can also help families consider costs, venues, burial or cremation, and other choices. People may discuss or record their own funeral wishes in advance using a downloadable form. The service also offers online memorial pages where friends and relatives can share condolences, photographs and memories, with the option of creating a keepsake album. Families have rated Anja’s service 9.7.
