Ankerstein is a community and information resource devoted to Anker stone building blocks, presented as the world’s first system toy and guided by the idea “design, build, marvel. ” Its website brings together historical material, building inspiration, and contributions from enthusiasts who use the blocks to create detailed architectural models. Featured projects include churches, town halls, castles, tea houses, villas, hotels, and other small structures, often accompanied by construction notes, photographs, and historical context.

The site also points visitors to an Ankerstein forum and archive, collections, patents, Ankerwiki, and related organizations and resources. Its content includes original designs as well as builds inspired by existing plans and historic buildings, with examples showing careful attention to features such as roofs, windows, façades, and surrounding landscapes. Ankerstein supports the exchange of ideas among builders and collectors, helping them explore the possibilities of the building system, share completed projects, and learn about its heritage
