About Ann Arbor Summer Festival
A2SF, established in 1984, is a vibrant non-profit organization that champions the performing arts and community spirit in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Known for its iconic summer festival held each June, A2SF attracts over 80,000 attendees and features more than 200 diverse events including concerts, art exhibitions, film screenings, and childrenโs activities. Originally founded by Eugene Power in partnership with the City of Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, the festival has evolved from its classical roots to encompass a wide range of genres, showcasing both regional talent and international artists.
The festival is anchored by two series: the outdoor Top of the Park, offering free admission concerts and family-oriented attractions, and an indoor ticketed series that highlights world-class music, dance, and comedy. With a legacy of hosting renowned acts like Ella Fitzgerald and Johnny Cash, A2SF continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing the cultural and economic landscape of Washtenaw County, making it a key player in the region's arts scene all year round.
