Anna’s Hope is a children’s brain tumour charity serving the East of England. Established in October 2006 by Anna Hughes’s parents, Rob and Carole, and her five godparents, the charity was inspired by Anna, who died from a brain tumour at three years and eight months old. Its mission is to give hope to children and young people diagnosed with brain tumours and support their families.
The charity raises funds to provide support and rehabilitation during and after treatment, helping children work towards reaching their full potential. It also offers Brainbow, a service co-founded with three independent charities and Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Run by a small group of volunteers, Anna’s Hope says that almost every penny donated goes towards helping children with brain tumours.
Supporters can contribute through donations, fundraising and taking part in events. The charity also shares news about its work and achievements, information about brain tumours, and Anna’s story.
