About Anneke Swanson
Anneke Swanson is a talented impressionistic oil painter, illustrator, and art teacher based in South Austin, where she lives with her husband and two children. Specializing in vibrant oil paintings and charming illustrations, Anneke finds joy in capturing life’s delicate moments, particularly through her stunning floral artwork created from live arrangements. This hands-on approach allows her to explore unique color combinations before the blossoms fade.
In addition to her floral work, Anneke delves into illustrations that reflect sweet moments and the complexities of motherhood. With a focus on accessible and relatable art, she expresses her thoughts and emotions, seeking to inspire viewers and bring joy to their lives. Anneke's creativity is fueled by her passion for experimenting with techniques and color palettes, guided by her love for color theory and the French Impressionism movement. Her clients include esteemed institutions like Austin Montessori School and The Writing Barn. For Anneke, art is not just a profession; it’s an act of worship and a profound gift to her audience.
