About Ann Smith Art
Ann Smith Art is a vibrant mixed media studio located in Langholm, Dumfriesshire, where artist Ann Smith brings life to her creations through a colorful blend of oils, acrylics, and wool felt. With a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the Scottish countryside, Ann draws inspiration from the ever-changing landscapes and floral themes of her native Perthshire and Dumfriesshire. After a successful career in clothing design, she reignited her passion for art in 2009 and has since showcased her work in numerous exhibitions across Scotland and Cumbria.
In addition to her artwork, Ann is dedicated to sharing her skills through wool felting workshops, offering both full and half-day sessions for all levels. Her unique felt art combines dyed merino wool with silk fibers and intricate embroidery, resulting in pieces that reflect her dual love of painting and textiles.
