ANPCDEFP, Romania’s National Agency for Community Programmes in Education and Vocational Training, promotes the internationalisation of education and professional training across the country. Its work spans education, vocational training, youth and sport, helping institutions, organisations and individuals access European opportunities and develop projects with community impact.
The agency manages and supports several European programmes and services in Romania. These include Erasmus+, the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport, and the European Solidarity Corps, which focuses on volunteering and solidarity. ANPCDEFP also supports Eurodesk, offering young people free information about opportunities; eTwinning, which enables collaboration among schools and teachers; and Eurydice, which analyses European education policies.
In addition to funding and programme administration, ANPCDEFP informs and trains participants, supports partner networks, and provides resources on programme opportunities. Its activities connect organisations and communities with European learning, mobility and cooperation initiatives. The agency reports that more than 300,000 Romanian citizens have participated in Erasmus+ projects and that over 5,400 organisations and institutions have been involved.
