ANPPAS

ANPPAS, the National Association for Graduate Studies and Research in Environment and Society, brings together Brazilian graduate programs and institutions engaged in research or postgraduate education focused on the interdisciplinary relationship between environment and society. Its work encompasses the many dimensions of this interaction and supports a community of researchers and institutions dedicated to specialized academic training and inquiry.

The association is governed by a General Assembly, a Board of Directors, and a Fiscal Council. Its Board includes a president, an executive secretary, and three directors, elected by the General Assembly for four-year terms. ANPPAS provides information about individual and institutional membership and lists affiliated programs and members.

The organization also supports exchange and knowledge sharing through its national meetings, including the ENANPPAS conference, and makes conference proceedings available. Its publications and resources include the Boletim Informativo ANPPAS, the journal Ambiente & Sociedade, books published by the association and its members, and directories of associated journals and periodicals.
