Abilities Network

Project ACT, a program of Abilities Network, is the Child Care Resource Center serving Baltimore, Harford, and Cecil Counties and a specialized training organization for Maryland’s early childhood community. As a member of the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, Project ACT works to cultivate inclusive communities through relationships, innovation, and high-quality services. Its support is designed for families, early childhood professionals, and child care programs.

Families can get help finding child care and accessing child care scholarships, attend workshops on raising young children, and develop strategies to support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development. For early childhood professionals, Project ACT provides free coaching and mentoring on lesson planning, challenging behaviors, classroom setup, visual supports, and business practices. It also offers mental health and behavior consultations for individual children and guidance for people interested in starting a child care program.

Professional development includes licensed trainings delivered online and in person, statewide specialized training in emergency preparedness and disability inclusion, and an annual conference.
