Anticomedy

Sven Comics is the creative world of Nordic artist and comedian Antti K. Hakala, whose pun-rich writing and Arctic humour are brought to life through colourful illustrations by his brother, Esa Hakala. The brand spans comedy, books, theatre and an online shop, with a playful style built around chilly jokes and cartoon characters.

Antti began performing stand-up in 2007 and has appeared at clubs in Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand, as well as at festivals including Edinburgh, Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe. His work also includes acting in films, stage directing and writing. Sven-inspired products are available through an online store that ships worldwide, with items including printed sweatshirts, T-shirts, jackets, phone and laptop cases, throw pillows, mugs and posters.

The literary offering includes The Lord of Herrings and Cod of Thunder, part of the Lake Pihtamo trilogy; the final book is available on Amazon. Antti is also directing and co-writing Nothing Is What It Seems, a comedy play developed with playwright Tony Leliw
