Antieke Tegels

Regts – Antieke Tegels is a specialist in antique Dutch wall tiles dating from approximately 1580 to 1900. Drawing on more than 50 years of experience collecting and preparing historic tiles for use, the family business offers authentic tiled installations, decorative tile panels, individual collectible tiles and reproductions. Its collection includes antique white tiles as well as tiles from different periods in Dutch production history.

The business began as Klaas Regts’s collecting hobby in 1969 and was later taken over by his son, Durk. In 2014, Durk turned the long-standing family pursuit into a business, with the aim of promoting wider appreciation of Dutch tile-making and helping preserve its heritage for future generations. Regts also undertakes projects and provides information about removing or selling tiles.

Visitors can explore the company’s shop in Franeker’s historic centre, where more than 250 square metres are devoted to antique Dutch tiles. The shop is open by appointment, and customers can contact Regts to arrange a visit or discuss its products and services.
