Our store has a rich history that dates back to 1973 when three women, inspired by the Greek mythological character Antigone, decided to open a bookstore that would challenge male authority figures. For the past thirty years, Antigone Books has been a beloved fixture in the community, and now, with the help of the community, three Antigone employees have become the new owners! At Antigone Books, we are committed to supporting local authors and providing a diverse selection of books for all readers.

Whether you're searching for a novel, non-fiction book, or children's literature, our dedicated staff is here to help you find your next great read.
