Aobazaka46 is a new, one-year limited idol group connected to Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, and Hinatazaka46. Its official audition site invites applicants to join the group and presents the project as an opportunity for aspiring performers to change their world. The audition is organized by Sony Music Labels, Nogizaka46 LLC, and Seed & Flower LLC, with operations and production by Sony Music Entertainment’s SD Group.

Applicants can submit an entry online and, if selected, take part in a multi-stage process that includes document screening and subsequent auditions in several Japanese cities. In-person audition seminars in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo offer talks with current members and simulated audition photography; some attendees may receive an exemption from the first screening.
