About AOC Wine Bar
AOC Restaurant, founded by renowned chef Suzanne Goin and award-winning restaurateur Caroline Styne, offers a unique and indulgent dining experience. With their critically acclaimed restaurant Lucques, the duo ventured into the world of AOC, a pioneering wine bar that pairs an extensive list of wines by the glass with a menu of market-driven small plates. Caroline Styne, with her expertise as a sommelier and wine director, curates Caroline's selections of inspired wines for AOC.
The restaurant opened on West Third Street in Los Angeles in 2002 and quickly gained praise, with favorable reviews and recognition as one of Conde Nast Traveler's 50 hot tables. The wine list at AOC has also received accolades from Wine Spectator magazine. Continuing their culinary success, Suzanne and Caroline introduced Tavern in 2009, a casual neighborhood meeting place with a full retail market.
In 2013, they relocated AOC to a new space with a beautiful outdoor garden setting, a cozy wine room upstairs, and an acclaimed wine list of sustainable, organic, and biodynamic wines. AOC is celebrated for its imaginative craft cocktails and is consistently applauded for mirroring the farmers' market influence of Suzanne Goin's seasonal menus. Caroline's business acumen and hospitality philosophy have contributed greatly to the growth of the Lucques Group, which now operates ten renowned restaurants in Los Angeles.
Caroline and Suzanne are not only culinary trailblazers but also passionate about giving back. They co-founded L. A.
Loves Alex's Lemonade, a fundraiser benefiting childhood cancer research, and have raised over $7 million since 2010. They have also catered for the SAG Awards and had the honor of preparing fundraising dinners for President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. With their latest ventures at the Hollywood Bowl and the introduction of AOC in Brentwood, Suzanne and Caroline continue to push culinary boundaries and create exceptional dining experiences.
