About AOH
Artists Open Houses is an artist-led festival based in Brighton that aims to promote and celebrate local artists and makers. Established in 2004 by Judy Stevens and Chris Lord, Artists Open Houses coordinates and promotes a series of open houses where artists showcase their work to the public. The festival includes a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, printmaking, illustration, and more.
In addition to the open houses, Artists Open Houses also organizes HOUSE, a curated visual arts event that offers commissioning opportunities to both regional and international artists. Judy Stevens, a Brighton-based artist, printmaker, and illustrator, serves as the festival director, while Chris Lord, a graphic designer with over 30 years of experience, oversees design, production, and development.
