Apa Architects

Apa Architects & Project Managers is a New Zealand architecture and project management practice based in Rotorua and working nationwide. Led by Aladina Harunani, whose portfolio includes residential and commercial projects and more than 20 years of international architectural experience, the team works with clients to turn ideas into considered, enduring spaces. Its approach brings together people, environments and cultural understanding, with particular expertise in Māori marae architecture and its spiritual as well as physical dimensions. The practice’s Tanatana Marae project received the Supreme Award at the 2016 Architectural Designers New Zealand and Resene Architectural Design Awards.

Apa’s services include residential and commercial architecture, marae and landscape architecture, green architecture, interior design, house and floor plans, architectural engineering, and project management. The team can support projects from early concepts, feasibility studies and master planning through design development and construction coordination. Project management covers contractor coordination, timelines, materials, key milestones and potential build delays. Interior design and planning consider practical and human factors such as lighting, privacy, noise and interaction.
