A Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (Apae) Salvador é uma Organização Social filantrópica, sem fins lucrativos, que tem a finalidade de prestar assistência integral às pessoas com deficiência intelectual. Para manter a sua atividade fim, a instituição oferece diversos serviços à comunidade que propiciam a sua viabilidade econômica. Os recursos arrecadados com os serviços são revertidos para o atendimento a pessoa deficiente carente. Na sua estrutura a Apae mantém o Centro Educacional e o Centro de Formação e Acompanhamento Profissional, o Centro Médico, o Laboratório de Análises Clínicas, o Serviço de Referência em Triagem Neonatal e a Central de Doações, além dos programas especiais: Grupo Pais Apoio e o Programa do Voluntariado.

About Apae Salvador
APAE Salvador, the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional, is a nonprofit institution dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Established to enhance the lives of individuals from ages 3 to 16, APAE offers a range of services that include specialized educational programs, professional training, and health services. The organization runs several centers, such as the Educational Specialized Center (CEDUC), which fosters social participation and creativity, and the Professional Training and Monitoring Center (CEFAP), aimed at integrating individuals into the workforce through structured educational programs.
Additionally, the institution operates the Medical Center (CEMED) and the Laboratory of Clinical Analysis (LABAC), ensuring quality healthcare services to both individuals with disabilities and the general public. With a strong focus on community engagement and volunteerism, APAE Salvador serves over 340,000 people across Bahia, championing inclusion and support for those with disabilities.
