APCC

APCC – Associação de Paralisia Cerebral de Coimbra is a community organisation dedicated to supporting the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities and others facing disadvantage. Its work spans rehabilitation, capacity-building and social rehabilitation, with services designed to support people in different areas of daily life. These include professional and other training, teacher education, residential units, home support, sport, transport, employment assistance and independent living.

APCC also provides resources and services for the wider community, including a toy library and toy workshop, a pedagogical farm, and a bar and cafeteria. Events and catering, along with other community services, are also part of its offer. The association promotes projects, volunteering and partnerships, and shares updates on its activities and initiatives.

Its cultural and sporting work includes groups and projects such as 5ª Punkada, Ligados às Máquinas and Semp’a Bombar, alongside adapted swimming and visual arts. Through this broad range of programmes and services, APCC works to foster rehabilitation, skills, social connection and greater inclusion in the Coimbra community
