APCViseu

APCV, the Cerebral Palsy Association of Viseu, is a social-support and rehabilitation organisation serving people with disabilities and their families in Portugal’s Viseu region. Its work focuses on dignity, inclusion, autonomy and quality of life, through personalised services delivered by multidisciplinary teams across several facilities.

APCV provides outpatient assessment, therapeutic and psychosocial support for people with cerebral palsy, neurological conditions and developmental differences. Its services also include early intervention for children from birth to age six and support for children and young people in schools through its Inclusion Resource Centre. Adults can access occupational activity programmes, residential care and an autonomous residence designed to build everyday living and community skills. The association also assesses and prescribes assistive products to support independence and participation.

As a DGERT-certified training provider, APCV offers initial and continuing vocational courses, including training in gardening, agriculture, carpentry, administration and care work. Through these services, the organisation supports personal development, education, employment pathways and fuller participation in community life.
