A Peaceful Space Inc

A peaceful space inc (apsi) is an organization focused on the relationship between the built environment, health, wellbeing, and community resilience. It works to make homes and buildings healthier by addressing issues such as indoor and outdoor air quality, thermal comfort, lighting, building materials, and energy burdens. Its approach combines data, building standards, design, and advocacy to identify practical ways to improve the places where people live and work.

Through consulting, apsi assesses how buildings affect wellbeing and helps identify opportunities for healthier indoor environments. Its Serenity Design offering recognizes that homes can serve as calming, inspiring, and nurturing spaces. The organization also develops policy papers and advocates for healthy buildings, stronger health-based criteria in building codes and policies, and meaningful community involvement in legislative and regulatory decisions.

Apsi promotes greater public understanding of topics including air quality, heat, water, and energy, and works to help communities take action. Its website invites people to learn more and schedule a consultation, and provides a building-health questionnaire to gather information about building conditions and occupants’ experiences.
