APečko

APečko is a nonprofit organization focused on first-aid education and helping people develop the confidence to respond in emergencies. Founded by people who describe themselves as passionate healthcare rescuers, the organization draws on their field experience and emphasizes that lifesaving action can begin with a person’s knowledge and hands.

Its educational work serves pupils in kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools, as well as adults and socially disadvantaged people. Through first-aid education and practical demonstrations, APečko aims to help more members of the public understand how to provide appropriate basic assistance before professional responders arrive. The organization highlights the importance of staying calm, avoiding panic, and taking suitable action when someone is injured.

APečko’s broader mission is to make the world safer by making first-aid knowledge more widely accessible. The organization welcomes inquiries by email or phone and is based in Bratislava-Petržalka, Slovakia. It also shares information through Facebook and Instagram, and invites visitors to learn about its work and support the organization through tax donations.
