The Association of Parents of Handicapped Children in Drummondville (APEHD) was founded in 1981 by parents of children with disabilities who aimed to break isolation, assist, and support new parents in the Drummond region who have just received their child's diagnosis. The organization provides a network of support through coffee meetings, workshops, activities, conferences, and collaborations with existing organizations.
