– APEI Carpentras

APEI Carpentras is a nonprofit association founded in 1976 by parents and friends of people with intellectual disabilities. Based in Carpentras, it supports adults and young adults in building social connections and, where possible, developing skills for professional inclusion. The association welcomes people aged over 20 at sites in Carpentras and Serres, with exceptions possible, and operates five specialist facilities: a residential life home, a supported-work establishment (ESAT), an accommodation home, an adapted enterprise, and a social-life support service (SAVS).

Its services combine practical and moral support with tailored accommodation and assistance. APEI also promotes sport as a means of personal development, participation, and integration, offering opportunities to practise different disciplines according to individual abilities. Its Art and Disability department encourages creative expression through activities such as painting, sculpture, and dance.

The association reports that 115 people support 200 residents. Through its facilities, activities, and employment-related services, APEI works to foster greater independence and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities
