About APELA
Apela is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their caregivers. Founded in 1997 by Professor Mamede de Carvalho and Professor Sales Luís, Apela's mission is to provide assistance and resources to those affected by ALS. They offer a range of services and resources to help individuals and their families navigate life with ALS, including information on treatment options, research, and living with the condition.
Apela is committed to advocating for the rights and social benefits of ALS patients and their caregivers. They also offer opportunities for individuals to support their cause through membership or donations.
