ApellidosMapa.com is an online resource for exploring where surnames are found in Spain and around the world. Its interactive maps show the regions where a surname is more or less common, helping visitors see whether it is widespread or concentrated in particular provinces or local areas. Each surname page includes a map of Spain, as well as a world map and a list of countries where the surname appears. Visitors can find a surname using the site’s search tool or browse its A–Z index, which organizes long lists into smaller groups for easier navigation.

The site is designed for genealogists, historians, and anyone curious about family names and their distribution. It also connects to related websites for the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Poland, and Romania, allowing users to compare surname patterns across countries. The maps are based on recorded surname presence in municipalities and regions.
