Associação Portuguesa da Energia

The Portuguese Energy Association (APE) is a non-governmental, nonprofit public-benefit organization that promotes discussion and understanding of sustainable energy transition in Portugal. It aims to support the economy and improve quality of life by bringing together people and organizations from across the energy sector. Its members represent activities including energy production, transmission, distribution, sale and use, as well as fossil and renewable energy, equipment supply and manufacturing, legal and consultancy services, research, and public administration. APE also represents Portugal as a member committee of the World Energy Council.

APE supports exchange and learning through conferences, seminars, studies, thematic committees, newsletters, and public events such as APE Energy Talks and afternoon debates. Its programs include Future Energy Leaders Portugal, which connects emerging energy professionals, and initiatives focused on women in energy. The association also shares reports, the Energy Atlas, and other publications, including a white paper on energy competitiveness and reindustrialization. Through its membership network and activities, APE provides a platform for stakeholders to discuss energy challenges, developments, and opportunities.
